Sugar Baby Definition
The definition of a sugar baby or SB is someone (of any gender) who is supported by, spoiled, and receives assistance (usually monetary) from a sugar daddy or mommy. Often a sugar baby is younger and can benefit from the support a sugar daddy or sugar mommy can provide. They participate in an often intergenerational relationship which is almost always romantic.

A sugar daddy or SD is someone (of any gender) who provides for, supports, and/or spoils a sugar baby. The sugar daddy or sugar mama usually offers money, gifts, mentorship, and guidance. The sugar daddy or sugar mommy may provide these incentives to make up for an age difference, relationship status, time availability, a desire to show care and be a provider, or any other reason. There is almost always a romantic interest involved in this relationship.

The sugar bowl refers to the sugar lifestyle.
POTs- Potentials
A potential or POT is someone in the sugar bowl who could potentially become a sugar daddy/ mama or baby. It is a temporary status during the courtship and meet-and-greet.
M&G- Meet and Greet
The meet-and-greet or M&G is often a first abbreviated date between a sugar baby and a POT. This meet up allows each partner to meet each other in person and evaluate their interest in forming a sugar relationship. The arrangement and allowance can be discussed matter of factly with POTs who are truly interested in a sugar relationship at this time or just after.
Sugar Allowance
A sugar allowance refers to the financial gift a sugar daddy or sugar mommy provides to their sugar baby. This is often monthly but can also refer to paying certain expenses such as tuition or rent.
PPM- Pay Per Meet
Pay-per-meet or PPM refers to a different way of providing allowance. On this schedule, the sugar daddy or sugar mama provides a gift (money or physical items) at each meet with their sugar baby.
NSA- No Strings Attached
No Strings Attached or NSA usually means a partner is not looking for a relationship. This may mean anything from a one night stand to long-term but just for fun. These people have no expectations of marriage or a relationship. It is best to ask the person using this acronym exactly what they have in mind.
LTA- Long Term Arrangement
Long-Term Arrangement or LTA is just what it says. A partner looking for a long-term relationship. This may mean long-term but discreet or hoping for marriage material.
STA- Short Term Arrangement
Short-Term Arrangement or STA means a partner is looking for an arrangement for a finite period of time. They may be traveling and want a companion, they may just like variety, or maybe they are just looking to dip their toes in the sugar bowl and aren’t sure they are ready to commit long-term.
FWB- Friends with Benefits
Friends with Benefits are common inside and outside the sugar bowl. This arrangement occurs when the couple hooks up but there is no expectation of a relationship. They may hang out together outside the bedroom or not. In a sugar relationship, FWB comes not only with a sexual relationship but some form of reciprocity for the baby such as a PPM or allownace.
Spoiled Girlfriend
A little different from a sugar baby. The spoiled girlfriend is usually longer-term and in a more secure relationship status. A spoiled girl friend may live with their sugar daddy or not.
Salt Daddy
The salt daddy is someone who has no business in the sugar bowl. These people try to get as much as possible for as little as possible. They are stingy and often frauds who will lie to get what they want. They may be harmless and just time wasters or they may be truely dangerous.

The splenda daddy is someone that can’t really afford to be a sugar daddy but can offer some support. It is up to the sugar baby whether she entertains discussing arrangements with splenda daddies.
Whale Daddy
A whale daddy is someone who is very generous and usually very wealthy. They have ample funds to share with a sugar baby and are willing to spoil their baby lavishly! (The dream daddy!)
Rinser:
Someone who pretends to be a Sugar Baby – but has no intention of ‘closing escrow’ and will try to get as much loot as possible before ghosting.
They are the SB Counterpart to a Salt Daddy – These people try to get as much as possible for as little as possible (certainly never any physical intimacy). They frauds who will lie and scam to get what they want. They may may be thieves who can steal credit card information, or anything not nailed down.
